How do I delete my account and everything in it?
Open SortBridge, go to the Account screen, and choose Delete account. It removes your captures, lists, and notes along with your login — not just the sign-in. Export first if you want to keep your lists; the app will remind you. If you cannot get into the app, email support@sortbridge.app from the address you signed up with and we will do it for you.
I shared something and nothing appeared.
Open the app and check the Inbox at the top of your lists — captures wait there until they are sorted. If it is still empty, the post probably had no readable text, which happens most often with Instagram. Take a screenshot of the post and share that instead; the text is read on your device and works far more reliably.
It found the wrong book.
Untick it on the sort screen and it never enters your list. Nothing is added without your tap, which is exactly why that screen exists.
Why does it need an account?
So your lists are not trapped on one phone. It also means a lost or replaced device does not take years of saves with it.
Why does Instagram work less well than the others?
Meta does not give apps like this access to your saved folder, and often publishes no caption text for a post either. We will not scrape or ask for your password, so screenshots are the honest answer for Instagram. TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, and ordinary links all work automatically.
Can I get my lists out?
Yes — Account → Export, as CSV, Goodreads, or Letterboxd. No cooling-off period and no email required.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. The iPhone share sheet is the thing that makes SortBridge work, and building it properly for iOS first was the right trade. Android is on the table once the app is stable — join the waitlist and say so when you reply.
Can I use SortBridge for BookTok and Bookstagram recommendations?
Yes — that is the main thing people use it for. Share a BookTok video or a Bookstagram reel into SortBridge and it reads the caption, pulls out every book named, matches each one to a real edition with its cover, and adds them to your reading list. A video naming fifteen books becomes fifteen rows you tick, not fifteen things to type out.
Can I build a watchlist from TikTok and Instagram?
Yes. Films and TV get their own lists alongside books, so a "five films that wrecked me" reel and a r/movies thread both land in the same watchlist. Each title is matched to a real record, so the same film saved twice from two different apps is one entry, not two.
How is this different from just saving posts, or putting them in Notes?
A saved folder keeps the video; it does not know a book was mentioned in it. You cannot search it by title, author, or anything else, and every app has its own separate pile. Notes means typing each title yourself. SortBridge reads the post, works out which titles it names, and files them so they are searchable months later.
What does it cost?
Nothing while it is in testing. If that ever changes you will be told well in advance, and anything already in your lists stays yours and stays exportable.
