For films and TV

A watchlist built from the reels you save.

Share the video or the thread. SortBridge finds every film and show named in it, matches each to a real record, and files them into a watchlist you can actually search.

SortBridge on an iPhone showing saved titles with their covers, and tabs for Books, Films and TV.

A saved reel is not a watchlist.

Someone names five films in ninety seconds. You tap save. It goes into a grid of thumbnails with no titles, no years, and no search — on one app, next to four hundred others.

Then you get a free evening, open the app, and scroll past every one of them without recognising a single thumbnail. The recommendation was good. The storage was the problem.

SortBridge reads the post and writes down what it was actually about, so the title survives longer than the scroll.

Search it the way you decide.

Nobody browses two hundred films. You want something short, something funny, or the one you keep saving and never start — so ask for that instead of scrolling.

And when you half-remember a title but clearly remember who recommended it, search for them. The quote is stored with the title.

  • Filter by runtime — an hour and a half, or a whole season.
  • Search by who recommended it, not just the title.
  • Mark it watched and it moves out of the way. No ratings, no streaks.

Questions

How do I save a movie recommendation from TikTok?

Tap share on the video and choose SortBridge. It reads the caption, identifies the films and shows named, matches each to a real record with its runtime and year, and lists them for you to tick. Confirmed titles land in your watchlist.

Do films and TV go in the same list?

No — they get separate lists, because they are different commitments. Two hours on a Sunday is not the same decision as four seasons, and mixing them makes a watchlist you never open. Books are separate again.

Can it handle a Reddit thread with thirty comments?

Yes, and this is where Reddit is strongest: the real recommendations are usually in the comments rather than the post. SortBridge reads both, pulls out the titles actually being recommended, and ignores the people arguing.

What happens when the same film is recommended twice?

It stays one entry. Every title is matched to a canonical record, so a film saved from a TikTok in March and a Reddit thread in November is one row — and SortBridge notes that it reached you twice, from two places, months apart. That is a better signal than a star rating.

Does it replace Letterboxd or JustWatch?

No. Those are for logging what you have watched and finding where to stream it. SortBridge handles the step before either: capturing the recommendation when you see it, so it is still findable when you have a free evening. Export to Letterboxd whenever you like.

Books work the same way — see turning BookTok into a reading list, or how this compares to other ways of saving.
