Guide
SortBridge vs StoryGraph: which one do you need?
SortBridge saves the books recommended in the TikToks, reels and threads you save, in one searchable list, and helps a group pick one. StoryGraph is a reading tracker: it logs what you read, charts your reading, and suggests books by mood and pace. They do different jobs, and work well together.

Why use SortBridge for BookTok recommendations?
Because it catches the book before it is on any shelf. Someone on BookTok names twelve books in one video. Share it to SortBridge and it lists all twelve, matched to the real books, with who recommended them. If the titles are only shown or said aloud, record your screen while it plays and your phone reads them. Films and TV from the same posts go into their own lists. What is StoryGraph built for?
Tracking. It logs what you are reading and have read, then turns that into charts so you can see your habits change. You can search books by mood and pace, set goals, join challenges and buddy reads, and rate books with part stars. SortBridge leaves the tracking to StoryGraph and focuses on getting recommendations out of the posts you save.
Can you use them together?
- Save in SortBridge. Share each post that recommends a book.
- Pick from it. Search your list by title, author or who recommended it.
- Track in StoryGraph. When you start reading, add the book there for stats and reviews.
Which is better for a book club?
They help with different parts. StoryGraph has buddy reads for reading together. SortBridge helps the club choose: everyone swipes on a shortlist alone, then ranked choice picks one book. See book club voting. Comparing with Goodreads too? See SortBridge vs Goodreads.
